Welcome to the first edition of Land Life Magazine!

As an entrepreneur and engineer, but especially as a father to three young children,
I found myself wondering what kind of earth I would leave behind. From that question, Eduard Zanen, an idealistic entrepreneur, and I founded Land Life Company in 2014 to contribute to the revitalization of our Earth.

This magazine will be a place to celebrate and showcase the positive work done around the world, with stories of extraordinary people planting trees in the most challenging and remote parts of the world. From deserts to derelict mines and up steep mountains, we’re planting in places where nature needs a helping hand to revitalize its vital ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.

These struggling areas now make up around 30% of our planet. Our generation must ask itself:

How do we want to live?

How can we restore the balance with nature?

We as a global community must do everything we can to create a healthy,
stable planet for all humanity. To do this, we will remove plastic from our oceans and encourage the fish to return. Take toxins out of the air and plant trees where there used to be trees, bringing back diversity in plant and animal life. We will eliminate man-made CO2 emissions, replenish soils so they can provide healthy food and, along this journey, rediscover how we want to live and what truly matters to us.

So, how do we get there? We believe this must be done step by step and project by project. We are working with inspiring partners to make a difference - one tree at a time.

I hope you are as excited and energized as I am when flipping through the pages of this magazine. It helps us all to realize what’s possible and highlights the very real power we have to make a difference in the world; not just the world we inhabit today, but the world we leave behind for future generations.
